Anointing Oil???

I am posting for Diane Rasch. In her words: Diane is mentoring a woman at a inner city ministry. She told Diane that God had shared with her that she was to bring oil to anoint and pray for the kids. She had spent much time praying over the oil. During prayer time, as the children were "fighting over" who would be prayed for first, the kids noticed a beautiful aroma coming from the oil. Diane took for granted that she was using a very special anointing oil, later to discover that it was olive oil. After the children recieved prayer they asked, "What should we do now?" They were told to spend some time with Jesus and He would tell them what to do. Then, later she found one little girl praying fervently. The little girl and another childl began to pray for each other. They were anointing each other. They were so excited that the oil on their foreheads was representative of the Holy Spirit. They were modeling what they just learned without provocation. Diane felt that this was a significant time for these inner-city kids.

Christmas time

As I reflect on all that is going on at this time of year, I am reminded over and over, Why is their Christmas? The Lord has really laid on my heart the importance of this season as I teach the children. "Jesus was born to die" There is so much to teach starting with the first sin and what happenend in the garden and so on. The question is Where are you and God? Where is man and where is God?
Consecrated Holy and Hungry
I was sharing with Pamela this AM the things that God has been sharing with me for this new year coming up. The Lord has impressed on me the importance of getting the children ready for the end times, especially in times of danger. When these times come we will not be able to wait on God, as many do now to get direction, we need to have it be instant, just as we talk to each other, it will be that way with them and the Lord. HE gave me the ideas since I teach the 3year olds - Kindergarten the Bible story will be first, and then I will share all the different things that we could do and then we will have our soaking time with the Lord to hear what He wants us to do ,the order for that day. As this is activated for a while weeks to months, eventually the children will not have to be given options, but they will instantly hear what they should do. He has been showing me the importance of hearing God"s voice NOW. Also something the Lord shared with me last January was the craft that the children do is called their Evangelism Tool. He has given me amazing things for the children to make that they want to show off to others. As we know children always want to show off things that they have made. We even practice with each other how they can share about Jesus with what they made. We also always attach a magnet on the back so it can go on their refrigerator. It is so exciting all the things ideas the Lord has for us in teaching and training our children

Another interesting night at RHK. One of the kids asked during the lesson on God made man and woman, "So God is that powerful? You mean He made everything?" They can be so full of questions and always trying to figure things out. Do we take these things for granted?

In Ten Years

Today evaluate what you are doing with the children. As you watch "The Next Generation" seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xw3AHgKxso ask yourself; "What difference have I made in the lives of the children I touch?" "What are the things I have done?" "What are the things I have been prompted by the Lord to do and not yet done?" In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Several years ago the Lord spoke to me saying, 'No matter the age of the child and no matter the size of your class bring them to me.'

To me this meant first of all every child, even the very young little infant and the precious child yet in the womb. This meant the same even if you have only one child before you. How many times have we just let a child play or watch a video because you did not have more children in your class, thinking how can I teach only one or this does not warrant going to all the effort! But what did Eli do with Samuel?

So my BIG question to you is: How are you bringing them to Jesus NOW that will effect their life in 10 years?

Quotable Quotes

Here are some insights that were shared at the KIMI Summit by various speakers.

"God will use the children to change the course of history."

"Fight for a cause bigger than you. You may not reap all the benefits, but those after you will."

"Prepare in the time of peace."

"If you knew you only had a few years to live, how would you live those years?"

"When are we going to train the children? We need to impact a community, not only a church."

"Are you a pioneer or a settler?"

"We need to stop throwing stones at one another instead we need to embrace one another with nail scarred hands."

"Children have a destiny. Have you thought about the children in your life, and how you can help them discover it?"

Flying into your destiny

When was the last time you made a paper airplane? What about praying and asking God what He has for you next. What are the passions He has put into your heart? Now write that down on a piece of paper, and make it into a paper airplane. Now be like a child and throw it as a representation of flying it into your destiny. I did it today at the Kids in Ministry Summit. It was incredible to see destiny flying all over the room. As we saw on a sign on the way here yesterday. AYR Are You Ready? God is raising up an army of MIGHTY WARRIORS!

2nd Grade Theology Lesson

I overheard these words one night at RHK. "So, if we are bad that means that the devil made us." Then I heard a rather loud "NO!" from another child, "God made us!" Later I pulled the child aside and we had a little theology lesson. Then he said, "So, if people like the devil and hate God then they won't talk to God, but they will talk to the devil. And if if people love God, but hate the devil then they will talk to God and not the devil." This was from the lips of a second grader. You never know the words or the questions that may come out of their mouths.

Another amazing night at RHK! The children were butting in line for prayer, they all want to be first. Their hearts are hungry for a touch from God. One child started praying over me while I was praying over him. Another child literally fell into me from the power of God's love being poured into him. THIS IS THE TIME!!!! God is pouring out the fire and power of His love on the children, and you too, if you want to receive it.
